Mother's Day Celebration and Letter Writing Competition

On the 18th of May, 2013, International Turkish Hope School Celebrated Mother's day, to show heartfelt gratitude to all the mothers of Turkish Hope Children, because they continually do so much for their children to give such shining performances in school. Every Child from class six to twelve has written a letter expressing their love towards their mother. Fifty letters out of 350 were chosen and it was a tedious job for the Judges to attend to, since all the letters were very touchy, and all emotions very practically flowing from each and every letter. "I must admit it was rather difficult for us, and we at a point were starting to get clueless of what we should choose from the alternatives, and it is unbelievable how all the students have shown their unconditional feelings towards their mother in these letters." says English Department Head Mr. Erkan.
Out of the 50 letters, 6 were awarded ceremonially in the "Event”. The First Division Awards were for classes 6-8 while the Second Division for nine to twelve. The Principal Himself Mr. Bedrettin Suata awarded the First Division Prizes towards the three best Writers; Mostafizur Rahman from class 7, Hamim Mushifique Hossain from class 8 and winner Wasi Iqbal from class 6 after a speech of utmost gratitude by Vice-principal Yavuz Koca towards all the mothers who have sacrificed so much for their children, so that the school has been able to run proficiently. Finally the famous editor of Probe Magazine Ayesha Kabir awarded the 3 best writers; Ikram Carpan from class 10, Arfaa Islam from class 9, and finally the winner, Shams Bin Sultan From Class 9 their duly deserved prizes, and gave a small speech about the importance of Motherhood, and how the children have excelled because of their beloved mothers.
The ceremony ended through a final speech by Mr. Fatih Celik, the Social Affairs Director of the school, showing another round of gratitude towards all the students, parents and teachers who have attended the ceremony.
For a school to organize such an event is truly heartwarming, and this goes to show how much they have cared for all the families who have dedicated themselves for the school, considering them all family members of the Turkish Hope School, and we hope such functions will also be arranged by Turkish Hope School also in the future as well as the other schools, to show such gratitude towards the parents who have supported our schools.
