Abrar Rahman, an 11th grader, has received
a World Highest score in Mathematics A and a Country Highest score in
Economics. He received a score of 100/100 in Maths A whereas he fell a little
short of full marks in Economics, achieving 116/120.
At the same time, Saad Ahmed, another 11th
grader, has received a Country Highest score in Bengali, receiving a
staggering, almost never heard of, 92/100.
Results like this coming for the ITHS Boys
Class of 2017 is not unexpected, as this class has always been both
academically competitive and competent in extracurricular activities. Such a
top notch environment certainly assisted both Saad and Abrar in getting their
respective scores. Their class, while not producing any more highest grades,
was certainly extremely successful in their IGCSE’s, with almost 10 students
receiving 90+ marks in subjects like Pure Mathematics, Mathematics B,
Chemistry, and Physics. However, the teachers deserve the true credits for this
feat. The teachers of ITHS have been pivotal for not only Saad and Abrar’s, but
also the whole class’s success in IGCSE. They did not merely teach the
students, but also led a formative role in the holistic development of every
student.
Our teachers certainly support Nicholas
Sparks’s words about educators from his novel, Dear John,
- “They
inspire you, they entertain you, and you end up learning a ton even when you
don't know it”
Heart-felt congratulations go out to both
students for their results, and hopefully come next December we’ll once again
hear of similar results from the students of ITHS Boys Class of 2017.
