ANNUAL SPORTS DAY 2014

ITHS sport meet, 2014 culminated on 7^th March 2014. ITHS students belonging to classes 6-12 divided into four categories vied in the 20 different sport events. The principal of ITHS hoisted the national flag and declared  the event open. The Principal of ITHS Mr. Bedrettin Suata as chief guest, Vice Principal Mr.Yavuz Koca as special guest, Head of Senior Section, Mr.Zubeyir Bayram, Head of Junior Section, Mr.Isa Guler and Senior Section Deputy Head Idris Koken accompanied with other teachers of ITHS viewed the performance of the contestants. Following competitions, prize giving ceremony was conducted and medals and certificates were given out to the winners. The programme concluded with vote of thanks by Physical Director, Mr. Younus Ali of ITHS.

THANK YOU CHAMPIONS

The SIFT (Scholastica Interschool Football Tournament) started on 27th February. It was held in the RAB-1 field and unlike other tournaments it was 11 a side. There were three groups in the tournament and the semi-final was with the group champions and the best runner up.

The first match was vs Greenherald which we won 2-0.

The second and the last match of the group stage was vs CGS. They scored from penalty in the first half but in the second half of the game our best player -Murfat- also the top scorer of the tournament scored two goals in few minutes and we were the group champion.

The semi-final was with the best runner up which was Pledge Harbour. Unlike other matches it was an easy match. The score was showing 4-1 when the referee blew his whistle. Now the only thing was to wait for our opponent. The other semi-final was between Scholastica red and Scholastica blue. The Scholastica blue defeated the red team and became our opponent in the final match.

The final match was in the afternoon around 3:30. Both of the schools principals were there to watch the final match. Everything was ready and the match started with the referees whistle. It was a well played match. The match was 0-0 till the very end but than our number 10-striker Murfat Uz-Zaman showed up and scored in the very last minute and we were the champions. And the rest was happiness, cups and medals. It was a great tournament. After the SSC 2014 we also won the SIFT 2014. Now the only thing left to wait for the THIFT(Turkish Hope Interschool Football Tournament)and gain another cup for our school…

ITHS U-18 FOOTBALL TEAM BECAME CHAMPION

The SSC (Sunbeams Super Cup) started on Thursday vs Greenherald which we won 1-0.
The next day in the morning our match was vs ISD. We had so many opportunities to score but the match was a draw. Then the last match of the group was ISD vs Greenherald. However Greenherald didn’t come to play the match. So the group champion was decided by penalties which we won 2-1.

JUNIOR FOOTBALL LEAGUE

Final round of the Junior Football League of International Turkish Hope School (I.T.H.S) culminated on Monday, the February 03, 2014. About 200 contestants vied in the competitions. Principal, Mr.Bedrettin Suata, Principal of  TBCCI, Fikret Çiçek, Vice Principal, Mr.Yavuz Koca and Head of Section, Mr. Zubeyir Bayram accompanied with other teachers of ITHS viewed the performance of the teams. The programme concluded with vote of thanks by Physical Director, Mr. Younus Ali of ITHS following the distribution of prizes to the winners.
